What is Cannabis?
Many people know what cannabis is but for those that don’t it is another term for ‘Marijuana’. Which is a plant grown and cultivated for medical and recreational use.
As the popularity rises with cannabis so does the demands. The health benefits of cannabis are undisputed, the government has recognized that and made it legal in some states for medical cannabis and in some places recreationally as well.
What Makes Cannabis Work?
Cannabis contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that is a psychoactive drug that causes that ‘euphoric effect’. This may cause people to have that ‘high’ or ‘stoned’ feeling. In some cases, high percentages of THC can cause a feeling of paranoia or anxiety.
Within a cannabis plant, there are also Cannabinol (CBN) and Cannabidiol (CBD) aside from THC these are the main active ingredients in cannabis. They offer no psychoactive effect, as THC does.
